“Taiwan Nichinichi Sinpou”: Complete content between 1898 and 1944 and specially include the content the former Taiwan Nichinichi Sinpou, “Taiwan Sinpou,” between 1896 and 1897. It includes heading index, keyword, and full newspaper image.
“Chinese Taiwan Nichinichi Sinpou”: Complete content between 1905 and 1911, which was an independent period for publication. It gathers news, industrial overviews, cultural activities, and social phenomenon in Taiwan during Japanese colonial period. It is the most important literature of Chinese newspapers for the research related Taiwan during Japanese colonial period.

Cross-database search: “Taiwan Nichinichi Sinpou” and “Chinese Taiwan Nichinichi Sinpou” can be browsed and searched on the same interface.
Full newspaper image: Full newspaper images of 150,000 issues of “Taiwan Nichinichi Sinpou” were rescanned with higher image resolution. Patrons can directly be linked to the image content corresponding to the heading.
Heading positioning: All the 3.5 million lists of “Taiwan Nichinichi Sinpou” headings are positioned in the full newspaper images.
Full newspaper browse: Other than browsing by month and date, we added “by newspaper,” “by edition,” or “by classification” to reduce the browsing range.
Search screening: The range can be reduced by the type of newspaper and the year of publication as well as to screen the results “by newspaper,” “by edition,” and “by classification.”
Methods: After entering the link, log in with the library card number and password and you can start to use the service.
