Regulations of Collection Reservation
1. Application method: Online application is required through “collection search system” on our website. It is only limited to the collections that are “on loan” or “reserved”; click on “reservation” and select the library for pick-up.
2. Application qualification: Patrons who possess valid library cards issued by the Library without records of overdue return or being suspended the access due to violation and have a personal email address will be entitled to the reservation service.
3. Quantity: Each library card can only reserve five books (including magazines) and three items of audio-visual materials. Each collection can only be reserved by maximum ten persons.
4. To avoid misusing the reservation service, materials that have been transferred and have arrived the pick-up library cannot be cancelled.
5. Reserved books (including audio-visual materials) will be retained for seven days from the second day after the material delivered to the library. After the material is delivered to the library, the patron will be notified by email. Please do visit “personal bookstore” on the website to check the status of the reservation.
6. If the retention period for reservation encounters a closing day of the library, it will be postponed to the next opening day accordingly. If the loan procedures are not completed after due, patrons will be cancelled their right of using the reservation service. Besides, a record of reservation no pick-up will be generated. Accumulated three books (items) of no pick-up within half a year will cause the suspension of the reservation service for one month.
7. For collections that are not able to be reserved because of errors in the current situation (such as wrong records and the loss of information), patrons will be notified by email and the application of reservation will be cancelled automatically.
